MPA, MS, CCS, LCAS, LPC

I have provided compassionate counseling care in the Triangle area for many years, and would like the opportunity to assist you on your life’s journey.

I have experience with helping a great number of families.  My experience as a therapist has often focused on issues for women, trauma, concerns across the life span, grief and loss, GLBT and individuals who are dual diagnosed with substance abuse and another  mental health issue.  I have worked with families, children, adolescents, adults and couples, veterans, geriatrics, and individuals of many cultures.

My therapy approach is one of acceptance, compassion and honesty; helping individuals learn to negotiate and cope with emotions and behavior through life’s stages and events so they are more comfortable and accepting of themselves and others.  Frequently, I utilize motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family systems, critical incident debriefing, and Seeking Safety as primary treatment modalities.

As a counselor you will find me an energetic, caring listener attuned to creating the safe environment needed for you to discover your own answers. Frequently, one is able to gain insight in as little as three to five sessions while skill building emotional identification and regulations skills.

For many years, I have been committed to providing clinical supervision and assisting the intern and provisionally licensed clinician in securing a valuable, rewarding rotation.

Majority of insurances are in network and are filed for clients except: Medicare, United and Megellan. Cost for a session: $140.00
